Once I apply, when will I be notified if I am accepted into a program?
All teacher applications are processed within three business days after they are received. Space is available on a first come/first served basis; however, once a program is full, no waiting list is kept. Therefore, it is to your advantage to apply as soon as possible to ensure a spot in the program of your choice. When you are registered, you will receive an acceptance packet with information specific to the program site.
When will my $100 deposit be refunded?
If you pay by check, your uncashed check will be returned to you at the end of your program. If you pay by credit card, your card will be credited within 30 days of the program’s completion.
When do I need to arrive at the program site?
Registration will be on Sunday between 2 and 4 pm. All teachers, including commuters, need to check in at that time. If you need to arrive later on Sunday due to travel plans, exceptions can be made; however, it is preferable, if possible, to arrive before the program starts at 4 pm on Sunday. All participants must arrive no later than Sunday evening.
What costs will I incur in attending an EFL program?
Transportation to and from the program site, including all expenses associated with travel, are the responsibility of the participant. Once the program starts, room, board (except for one evening meal), and teaching materials are provided by the FTE.
Can I leave the program early?
Everyone who participates in FTE programs is expected to stay for the full duration of the program.
Is there a stipend for attending?
