How will EFL Virtual programs be delivered?

All 2021 EFL Virtual programs will be held online “live” via Zoom (web conferencing platform). EFL Virtual will be delivered through a synchronous, online format. Teachers will be required to be online in a virtual classroom approximately five hours per day, Monday through Friday, and for a two-hour opening session on Sunday at the start of the program.

 

A program that I wish to attend is closed to further enrollment. Does FTE maintain a wait list for closed programs?

Wait lists are kept for some, but not all site locations. Please reach out to Haley Sisler at hsisler@fte.org to find out if your dates of interest is maintaining a wait list prior to submitting your registration.

 

What is the cost of the EFL Virtual program?

The EFL Virtual registration fee is $150. Teachers must also have a computer/laptop/tablet with internet capabilities and a web camera, additional mobile communication device such as a phone or tablet, and headphones with a microphone.

 

How do I pay my program fee?

Accepted applicants can pay online with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Payment directions can be found by logging in to your Self Service Center account.

Please note that you must submit your registration payment before you are considered officially enrolled; completing the online registration form without payment does not guarantee your spot.

 

What is the program schedule for the week?

The EFL Virtual program runs Sunday-Friday of each week offered. Please see the sample schedule here. A detailed schedule will be provided in the orientation packet, given approximately four weeks prior to the start of the program.

 

I need to arrive a little late, leave early and/or miss a couple of sessions during the week. Is this OK, and can I still get the university credit?

No. Everyone who participates in FTE programs is expected to be present for the entire program. Participants must be in attendance at all sessions to be eligible for university credit. Plan on spending approximately 2 hours on Sunday, and 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

If you leave early or do not attend all scheduled sessions, you will be ineligible to receive the optional graduate credit and fail to receive your course completion certificate.

 

How do I register for graduate credit for my EFL Virtual program?

Information on graduate credits through the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs will be provided with orientation information approximately four weeks prior to each program. You can also click here to learn more about registering for credit.

 

Do EFL Virtual attendees qualify for a stipend?

Yes, teachers who attend EFL Virtual qualify for a $250 participation stipend. To earn a participation stipend, teachers must attend and actively participate in all sessions. Stipends will be sent out after the program ends and attendance confirmed.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

The registration fee for EFL Virtual will be refunded 50% for cancellations made prior to May 21, 2021.  After May 21, no refunds will be issued.
