Webinar: The Economic Implications of COVID-19: An Update

Prof. Scott Baier

On Wednesday, June 10 at 6:00 PM ET/ 3:00 PM PT, Professor Scott Baier, Chair of the Economics Department at Clemson University will present an update on the rapidly changing economic conditions in the United States caused by COVID-19. During the 60-minute webinar, Dr. Baier will highlight new data and trends in the U.S. economy and the evolving policy responses.

Dr. Baier, a frequent speaker on the U.S. economy, will discuss how the coronavirus is affecting the economy, highlighting particularly vulnerable industries and workers. The focus of the presentation will be on the government’s policy response – both by the Federal Reserve and Congress – and the likely efficacy of those policies.

Following a 45 minute presentation, Dr. Baier will take Q&A from the audience. The webinar is scheduled to last 60 minutes.
